Review 2: I've read a different book by Lisa Oliver before and loved it so when I saw she had something for Love's Landscapes, I was all over it. The case the two are trying to solve is left unresolved and the author ended with MORE To Come. Dmitri made this move because he believes it is time to claim his mate. Fast forward 8 years and Dmitri is the new detective and is assigned to work with Shane. Shane leaves the pack, becomes a detective over the years and is just living his life. Shane on the other hand was tormented in high school by Dmitri and the other athletic males and did. Angela of course points out that wanting Shane and knowing Shane is his mate makes him gay, just not for everyone. I loved when Dmitri told his best friend and former girlfriend Angela that he really didn't think he was gay 'cause he had watched gay porn and it did nothing for him - just Shane. Dmitri realizes at the age of 18 that Shane is his mate, but takes about 8 years to come to terms with that. The theme for this is wolf shapeshifters who fit the stereotypical gay male (Shane) and homophobic male (Dmitri). I chose this one based on a review I had read. Review 1: One of our challenges for the Scavenger Hunt (July) was to read a book from Loves Landscapes.
